AMORIM TO SPEAK TO GARNACHO ABOUT HIS CONDUCT – Manchester United’s coach, Ruben Amorim, plans to talk to Alejandro Garnacho about his reaction to being substituted during their 3-2 win over Ipswich Town. This happened after Patrick Dorgu was sent off in the 43rd minute, and Garnacho was replaced by Noussair Mazraoui. Instead of sitting on the bench, Garnacho went straight to the locker room.
Amorim explained that he made this decision to change the team’s formation to 5-3-1. He said, “It was cold and wet, maybe. We decided to play 5-3-1. This was a risk because Garnacho is very fast and good at one-on-one situations. But I thought the team was doing well, so I made the substitution.”
Garnacho was previously left out of the team along with Marcus Rashford, but he quickly returned to the lineup. Rashford, however, was loaned to Aston Villa. Amorim said he will talk to Garnacho about his reaction and might discuss it further in the next press conference.
The game was intense, with Manchester United initially falling behind due to a mistake between Dorgu and goalkeeper Andre Onana. They then scored two goals but conceded another before halftime, ending 2-2. In the second half, Harry Maguire scored, helping United win 3-2 and move up to 14th in the league.
