Abdul Carter, a Penn State football player who could be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has a stress reaction in his right foot. This was found during tests at the NFL Scouting Combine.
What’s the Problem?
According to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Carter might need surgery to fix the problem.
Two Options
Carter has two choices:
- Surgery: He could get surgery right away to put a screw in his foot. This would take about eight weeks to recover from.
- Skip Surgery (For Now): He could skip the surgery and instead show NFL teams he’s healthy by working out at Penn State’s pro day on March 28.
Decision Coming Soon
Carter, his family, and his agents are talking to doctors to decide what to do. They should make a decision soon.
Draft Impact
His agent believes that even with the injury, Carter is still likely to be the number one pick in the draft. Carter himself had said he wants to be the number one pick.
